A nine-year-old girl has died after being bitten by a snake in northern NSW.
Police say the girl was bitten on the foot by a brown snake at about 2.30 pm (AEDT) Saturday in the vegetable garden of a farm at Uralla near Armidale.
She was taken by ambulance to Armidale Base Hospital in a critical condition, and died just after 5 pm.
Police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
