Still winter..

Well.. As it is quite cold and snowy right now, (atleast where I live..) all my animals are still in hibernation. They will probably be woken up in a month or so..

We had a very mild winter down here in East Anglia(so far!) our herps don’t hibernate, they have just kept eating and growing. It’s great when the sun shines as our chameleon and king snake both come to the front of their respective vivs to catch some rays. Days are getting a bit longer here now too, guess Sweden is coming out of the mid-winter darkness too…

Aha..
I have ALL mine hibernated.. One reason is that I have to, because they are all European. The other reason is that it is really nice to get some time off from all the animalcaring. It makes you all fired up, when they come up again..
Well.. I think that it is going to take another month or so.. Today is the second day with temperatures above +/-0 degrees Celcius in weeks. Just one week ago we had -20 degrees Celcius…
And there is about 30 cm´s of snow. So, spring feels far away…
But I know, that fieldherpingseason is in fact closing. I can barley wait.
